Our Space
In 2009, Mark Vasserman discovered the perfect spot to bring his vision to life—a showroom nestled on Gertrude Street, Fitzroy, one of the coolest and most eclectic streets in the world. Known for its creative energy, vibrant culture, and artistic flair, Gertrude Street was the ideal backdrop to showcase bold and innovative lighting designs.
Since opening its doors, this flagship location has been the heart of About Space, drawing inspiration from the street’s dynamic spirit and connecting with a community that values both design and individuality.
From that first showroom, About Space has grown and evolved, but the journey that began on Gertrude Street continues to shine brightly. With each showroom that we have opened we draw inspiration from the local design community, hand selecting pieces that speak to their needs.
